Smart Personal Safety Device for Women
Description:
The “Smart Personal Safety Device for Women” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how technology can be used to enhance personal safety and emergency response. This project simulates a wearable or handheld safety device that can send an SOS alert with real-time location tracking in case of danger.
The model is built on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing a personal security system. The system operates as follows:
- Push Button Activation: If the user feels unsafe, they can press the push button, which immediately triggers the emergency system.
- Arduino Uno Microcontroller: Processes the signal from the button and activates the emergency response system.
- Buzzer Alert: A buzzer sounds loudly to attract attention and alert people nearby.
- GPS Module (NEO-6M): Captures the real-time location of the user.
- GSM Module (SIM800L): Sends an SOS message with the location coordinates to pre-registered emergency contacts, such as family members or police.
- 16×2 LCD Module with I2C: Displays the current system status, such as “Safety Mode Active” or “Alert Sent.”
- Power Distribution Board & Jumper Wires: Ensure stable power supply and connectivity between all components.
This project provides hands-on learning in safety automation, GPS tracking, and emergency alert systems, showcasing how technology can be used to enhance personal security and provide rapid assistance in emergency situations.
