Real-Time Earthquake Alert System

Description:

The “Real-Time Earthquake Alert System” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how a basic earthquake detection and alert mechanism functions. This project is designed to detect vibrations using a tilt sensor and activate an alert system, simulating how real-world earthquake warning systems work.

The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, simulating a small-scale environment. The tilt sensor is used to detect seismic vibrations or ground movement. When vibrations exceed a certain threshold, the DVD motor and toy fan are triggered to demonstrate a warning mechanism, while an LED indicator and buzzer can be added (not included in this version) to simulate an emergency alert.

The system is powered by a battery clip, with electrical regulation handled by a 7805 voltage regulator. The IN4007 diode, relay, and BC547 transistor work together to activate the motor when vibrations are detected. Resistors help control the electrical flow, and PVC pipes provide additional structural support. The toggle switch allows for manual system activation and deactivation.

This project provides hands-on learning in electronics, disaster management, and automation, offering students a practical understanding of early earthquake warning systems and their importance in real-world applications.
