Description:
The GSM-GPS Enabled Fire Detection & Alert System for Vehicles is a smart 40 × 50 cm student working model that demonstrates an emergency alert system for vehicles in case of fire. Built on foam board or sun board, this project uses a combination of flame detection and communication modules to detect fire and send an instant SMS alert with the vehicle’s live location.
When the flame sensor detects fire inside or around the vehicle, the Arduino UNO microcontroller immediately activates:
- A buzzer for sound alert
- An LCD display with I2C to show “Fire Detected”
- A servo motor to simulate safety action (like shutting a fuel valve or opening a door)
- The GSM module sends a message to a pre-set mobile number
- The GPS module provides live coordinates in the SMS
- The DVD motors and BO wheels represent vehicle movement, which can be halted during the fire simulation
- A push button is included to reset or manually control the system
This project is ideal for science exhibitions, road safety awareness campaigns, and showcasing IoT-based emergency solutions.
