Fire Source Tracking Robot
Description
The Fire Source Tracking Robot is a student working model that demonstrates how robots can be used for fire detection and hazard management. Equipped with a flame sensor module, this robot is capable of detecting the direction of a fire source and navigating towards it. The model is designed to simulate real-world firefighting assistance robots that help in preventing fire accidents and supporting rescue operations.
The robot is built on a chassis fitted with BO wheels and a caster wheel, ensuring stability and smooth movement. BO motors, firmly mounted with nuts and bolts, provide mobility. The flame sensor module acts as the core sensing unit, detecting infrared radiation from flames.
The L293D motor driver module processes the sensor signals and controls the robot’s movement accordingly. When the flame sensor detects the presence of fire, the robot moves in the direction of the source. Supporting electronics such as the 7805 voltage regulator, connecting wires, and 9V battery clip ensure stable and reliable power distribution for continuous operation.
This project is an excellent introduction for students to concepts of sensor-based robotics, automation, and hazard detection. Real-world applications include firefighting robots, industrial safety bots, and autonomous fire monitoring systems. It is highly suitable for science fairs, exhibitions, and STEM robotics learning.
