Autonomous Navigation Obstacle Avoidance Bot
Description
The Autonomous Navigation Obstacle Avoidance Bot is a student robotics project that demonstrates how autonomous robots can detect and avoid obstacles using infrared (IR) sensors. This model helps students understand the fundamentals of automation, sensor-based robotics, and navigation systems.
The robot is constructed on a chassis equipped with BO wheels and a caster wheel, ensuring smooth and stable mobility. BO motors, fixed with nuts and bolts, provide the driving force for movement. The IR sensor is the core detection unit β it continuously scans the path for obstacles. When an object is detected, the sensor sends signals to the control circuit, which changes the robotβs direction to avoid collisions.
The circuit is implemented using a PCB board, relay, transistor, diode, resistors, and connecting wires for signal control and safety. A 7805 voltage regulator ensures stable power distribution, while the SPDT switch and 9V battery clip provide flexible power management. A buzzer is included to alert when obstacles are detected, making the system interactive and user-friendly.
This project demonstrates practical applications of robotics in autonomous cars, industrial robots, warehouse bots, and delivery systems. It is an ideal STEM learning project for science fairs, workshops, and competitions, teaching students about sensors, motor drivers, and autonomous decision-making.
