Automated Fire Protection at Shops
Description:
The “Automated Fire Protection at Shops” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how fire detection and suppression systems can be used to enhance safety in commercial establishments. This project simulates a smart fire response system that detects fire, triggers an alarm, and activates a water-based extinguishing system to control the fire.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing a small shop equipped with an automated fire protection system. The flame sensor continuously monitors the environment for fire or excessive heat. When fire is detected, the system performs the following automated responses:
- Alarm Activation: The 5V buzzer sounds an alert to warn occupants.
- Visual Indicator: The LEDs turn on to indicate a fire emergency.
- Automatic Water Dispensing: The 5V relay activates the AC pump, which pumps water through the 12mm tube and releases it via the L-bend nozzle to extinguish the fire.
- Circuit Protection & Power Supply: The system is powered by a battery clip and 2-pin top, with BC547 transistors, resistors, and diodes ensuring smooth operation and electrical protection.
This project provides students with hands-on learning in fire safety technology, automation, and circuit design, demonstrating how automated fire suppression systems can prevent major losses in shops and commercial spaces.
