Sprinkler Irrigation
Description:
The “Sprinkler Irrigation” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how automated sprinkler systems can efficiently distribute water in agriculture. This project simulates a smart irrigation system that ensures even water distribution to crops, reducing water wastage and improving efficiency in farming.
The model is built on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing an agricultural field equipped with a sprinkler irrigation system. The system operates as follows:
Working Mechanism:
- Water Distribution System:
- Water is pumped through a 12mm transparent tube, which serves as the primary water pipeline.
- L-bends and T-connectors are used to direct water flow and distribute it evenly.
- Sprinkler Activation:
- The AC pump powers the system, forcing water through the tubes and into the sprinklers, ensuring uniform water coverage over the field.
- A cut-off valve controls the water flow, allowing users to manually turn the system on or off.
- Power Supply & Circuit Connections:
- A 2-pin top connects the AC pump to the power source.
- Silk wires ensure proper electrical connections, enabling smooth operation.
Applications & Benefits:
- Efficient Water Usage by distributing water evenly over a large area.
- Ideal for Agricultural & Garden Use to optimize water resources.
- Reduces Manual Effort and ensures proper irrigation without continuous monitoring.
- Provides Hands-on Learning in irrigation automation, fluid dynamics, and smart farming technology.
