Smart Traffic Violation Detection
Description:
The “Smart Traffic Violation Detection” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how automated systems can detect traffic rule violations using IR sensors and Arduino-based control. This project simulates a smart traffic monitoring system that identifies vehicles violating signals and triggers an alert.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing a traffic intersection equipped with an automated violation detection system. The system operates as follows:
- Traffic Light Modules: Simulate real-world traffic signals, controlling vehicle movement at the intersection.
- IR Sensors: Placed near the traffic light to detect vehicles crossing a red signal. When a vehicle moves through the restricted area, the IR sensor sends a signal to the Arduino Uno microcontroller.
- Arduino Uno Microcontroller: Processes data from the IR sensors and determines if a violation has occurred.
- Buzzer Alert System: If a vehicle violates the signal, the buzzer sounds an alarm, indicating a violation.
- Power Supply Board & DC Female Connector: Provides a stable power source for the entire system.
- Jumper Wires: Establish electrical connections between all components, ensuring smooth operation.
This project provides hands-on learning in traffic automation, violation detection, and Arduino programming, showcasing how smart technology can enhance road safety and law enforcement by detecting and alerting authorities about signal violations.
