Smart Theft Prevention for Parked Cars
Description:
The “Smart Theft Prevention for Parked Cars” is a practical and innovative working model designed for students to understand security systems and electronics. This project helps demonstrate how a simple yet effective anti-theft system can be implemented using basic electronic components. The model is constructed within a 40 × 50 cm setup using a PVC Foam Sheet or Sun Board Sheet as a base, along with toy vehicles to create a realistic parking environment.
The project uses an IR Module to detect unauthorized movement around the parked vehicle. Once an object (such as a person) comes within the IR sensor’s range, the BC547 transistor and 5V Relay activate the buzzer and LED lights, alerting people nearby of potential theft. The 7805 voltage regulator ensures a stable 5V power supply to the circuit, while a 9V battery powers the system. Components like the IN4007 Diode protect the circuit from voltage spikes, and resistors regulate current flow to prevent damage.
This project is an excellent way for students to learn about basic electronics, security systems, and circuit design while working with components like transistors, diodes, and relays. The final presentation includes painted elements to enhance the model’s appearance, making it visually engaging and easy to understand.
