Description:
The “RFID-Based Smart Water Dispenser” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology can be used to automate water dispensing. This project simulates a smart water management system where water is dispensed only when an authorized RFID tag is scanned, promoting efficient water usage and access control.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing an automated water dispensing system. The system operates as follows:
Working Mechanism:
- RFID Tag & RF Reader:
- A user taps an RFID tag on the RF reader to gain access to water.
- The RF reader identifies the tag and sends a signal to the Arduino Uno microcontroller.
- Arduino Uno Microcontroller & Display:
- Processes the RFID data and activates the water dispensing system.
- A 16×2 LCD display module with I2C shows the user status and water availability.
- Water Dispensing System:
- The relay module circuit controls the AC pump, which pumps water through the 12mm tube and L-bend mechanism.
- A cut-off valve ensures precise water flow control, preventing wastage.
- Power & Connectivity:
- A power distribution board supplies electricity to the circuit.
- Jumper wires and 2-pin top connect all components securely.
