Description
The Explosive Disposal Robot with Robotic Arm is a safety-oriented student project designed to demonstrate how robotics, electronics, and remote control systems can be applied in real-world defense and disaster management. This model simulates how bomb disposal squads use robotic systems to detect and handle explosives while keeping human operators at a safe distance.
The robot’s chassis is built from foam board or sun board, making it lightweight yet durable. It uses gear motors, a gearbox, and robotic wheels to provide strong mobility and precise movement. The robot can be maneuvered using a remote control, allowing the operator to guide it into dangerous areas.
The highlight of this project is the robotic arm with a gripper, capable of holding and moving suspicious objects. The inclusion of a metal detector enables the robot to detect metallic objects that may indicate bombs or weapons. Upon detection, the system triggers a buzzer and LED indicators to alert the operator.
Electronics such as relay, transistor, diode, resistors, PCB board, 7805 voltage regulator, and connecting wires ensure stable operation and controlled responses. The 9V battery clip supplies portable power to the system.
This project demonstrates the practical applications of robotics in defense and security, while also teaching students about remote-controlled systems, electronic circuit integration, and sensor-based detection. It serves as an excellent STEM learning project for science exhibitions and technical fairs.
