Description:
The “Automated Load Detection at Checkpoints” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how weight detection mechanisms can be used at security checkpoints, toll booths, or industrial weighing stations. This project simulates a basic load detection system using a limit switch and LED indicators to automate load verification at checkpoints.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing a checkpoint equipped with an automated load detection system. The limit switch is strategically placed to detect whether a vehicle or object has crossed the weight threshold. When pressure is applied to the switch, it activates the LED indicators, signaling that a load has been detected.
A toggle switch is used to manually control the system, allowing for resets and testing. The 2-cell battery holder provides power to the circuit, while screws and connecting wires ensure a stable and efficient connection between all components.
This project provides students with hands-on learning in automation, mechanical-electrical integration, and security checkpoint technology, showcasing how automated weight detection can enhance efficiency in transportation, logistics, and security applications.
