Description:
The “AI-Based Human Detection at Suicide Spots” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how automated surveillance and detection systems can be used to identify human presence in restricted or high-risk areas, such as bridges, railway tracks, or cliffs, to prevent suicides. This project integrates sensors, a buzzer alert, and a servo-controlled detection mechanism to monitor and alert authorities when a person is detected in a restricted zone.
The model is built on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, simulating a suicide-prone area where detection is required. The LDR module and laser diode work together to detect motion or presence in the area. If an obstruction (such as a human figure) breaks the laser beam, the Arduino Uno microcontroller processes the signal and activates the buzzer to alert security personnel.
Additionally, a servo motor can be programmed to trigger an automated response, such as flashing lights, closing barriers, or deploying a safety net. The push button allows for manual testing or activation of the system. The 7805 voltage regulator ensures stable power supply distribution via the power distribution board, while jumper wires connect all components efficiently.
This project provides students with hands-on learning in AI-driven surveillance, automation, and real-time safety monitoring, demonstrating how technology can be leveraged to prevent tragic incidents by providing early warnings and intervention.
