Description:
The “Advanced Laser-Based Bank Security” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how laser-based security systems can enhance bank safety by preventing unauthorized access. This project simulates a high-tech security setup where laser beams act as invisible tripwires to detect intrusions and trigger an alarm.
The model is built on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing a bank vault or entrance equipped with a laser security system. The system works as follows:
- Laser Diode & Mirrors: The laser diode emits a laser beam, which is reflected using mirrors to form an invisible security perimeter inside the bank.
- LDR Sensor (Light Dependent Resistor): Continuously monitors the presence of the laser beam. If the beam is interrupted (such as by an intruder crossing the path), the LDR detects a drop in light intensity and sends a signal to the circuit.
- 5V Relay & 7805 Voltage Regulator: Ensures efficient power management and controls circuit activation.
- IN4007 Diode & BC547 Transistor: Help regulate current flow and enable fast circuit switching for accurate alarm triggering.
- Resistors & Connecting Wires: Maintain stable circuit operation and signal transmission.
- LED Indicators & Alarm Activation: When the laser beam is broken, the LEDs flash, and the system activates an alarm, alerting security personnel to the intrusion.
- Battery Clips: Power the system, ensuring it operates even during power failures.
This project provides hands-on learning in advanced security automation, intrusion detection, and laser-based security technology, showcasing how modern security systems can enhance bank protection by detecting unauthorized access in real-time.
