The “Smart Home Automation with Arduino” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates how home appliances can be controlled wirelessly using Arduino and Bluetooth technology. This project simulates a smart home system where devices like fans, lights, and exhaust systems can be controlled via a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, representing a smart home environment with the following automated components:
- DVD Motor & Toy Fan: Represent small appliances such as table fans.
- Exhaust Fan: Demonstrates an automatic air ventilation system.
- LED Lights: Simulate smart lighting control in a home.
- Bluetooth Module (HC-05): Enables wireless communication with a smartphone, allowing users to control devices remotely.
- Arduino Uno Microcontroller: Processes Bluetooth signals and executes commands to operate home appliances.
- 4-Channel Relay Module: Controls multiple devices, turning them on or off as per user commands.
- Connecting Wires: Establish proper circuit connections for seamless operation.
Using a mobile app or Bluetooth-enabled device, users can send commands to the Arduino Uno, which activates or deactivates home appliances through the relay module. This project provides hands-on learning in IoT-based smart automation, wireless communication, and Arduino programming, showcasing how technology enhances home convenience and energy efficiency.
