Description:
The “Smart Arduino-Powered Irrigation” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates automated irrigation technology using Arduino-based control. This project simulates a smart irrigation system that automatically waters plants based on soil moisture levels, optimizing water usage and reducing manual effort.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, simulating a mini agricultural field or garden setup. The moisture sensor detects the soil’s moisture level and sends signals to the Arduino Uno microcontroller. If the soil is dry, the relay module activates the AC pump, which draws water through the 12mm transparent tube, drip connectors, and sprinkler system to irrigate the plants. Once the desired moisture level is reached, the system automatically stops the water flow using a cut-off valve.
Additional components such as T connectors, L bends, and 3mm connectors help in directing water flow efficiently, while drip tubes ensure uniform distribution. The 2-pin top provides power to the system, and silk wires, jumper wires, and connecting wires ensure proper electrical connections.
This project provides hands-on learning in Arduino programming, automation, and smart agriculture, offering a practical solution for efficient water management in farming and gardening applications.
