Smart Pill Reminder & Alert System
Description:
The “Smart Pill Reminder & Alert System” is an innovative working model for students that demonstrates the application of automation in healthcare. This project is designed to help individuals remember their medication schedule by providing visual alerts using LED indicators and switch-based user interaction.
The model is constructed on a 40 × 50 cm Foam Board or Sun Board base, simulating a smart pill dispenser. The Arduino Uno microcontroller is programmed to activate LED indicators at specific time intervals, reminding the user to take their medication. Switches allow users to confirm medication intake, and the system can reset itself for the next reminder cycle.
Resistors are used to regulate current flow, while jumper wires help connect the electronic components efficiently. The system can be further enhanced by integrating a buzzer for audio alerts or an LCD display to show time-based notifications (not included in this basic version).
This project provides students with hands-on learning in Arduino programming, automation, and healthcare technology, showcasing how smart systems can be used to improve medication adherence and patient care.
